On Sunday 13th July, our incredible Production Director Neil took on an inspiring challenge in support of a cause very close to his heart and ours. Walking an impressive 23 miles from Burnham-on-Sea Pier to Clevedon Pier, Neil clocked up over 51,000 steps in sweltering 30°C heat to raise funds for the brilliant local charity Be More Ben.
Be More Ben provides specialist bereavement support for parents, families, and siblings who have experienced the devastating loss of a child under the age of 18. It’s a charity our business proudly supports, and one that Neil is personally connected to.
Thanks to the generosity of friends, family, colleagues and supporters, Neil has already raised over £2,700 from this latest challenge. This fantastic amount will go directly to helping families in need.
As Chairman of Clevedon Rugby Club, Neil was joined for the final two miles by some of his clubmates, who completed the stretch in their budgy smugglers.
Their unusual choice of attire attracted plenty of attention along the route and helped raise additional awareness and support for the cause.
This isn’t the first time Neil has stepped up for Be More Ben. In 2023, he completed a mountain mission, raising just over £6,200 showing his ongoing commitment to the charity and the families it supports.
From all of us here, a big well done to Neil. Taking on 23 miles in the unexpected heat was no easy task, and we’re really proud of what he’s achieved. Not just in completing the walk, but in raising such an impressive amount for a cause that means so much to him, our business and the local community.
There’s still time to donate, and every contribution will make a real difference to the families Be More Ben supports.
